How to calculate an estimate battery lifetime of a solar security camera?
As we know, Power(P)=Voltage(U)*Current(I)
E.g. 1x 18650 battery power =3.7v*2600mAH;
10x 18650 battery total power=3.7V*2.6AH*10=3.7V*26AH=96.2WH
1x12v camera current=150mAH
1x12v camera power=12v*150maH/1000=12v*0.15
Battery Lifetime(H)=Battery total power/Camera Power
Therefore, 10 x 18650 battery lifetime(H)=3.7V*2.6AH*10/12v*0.15
1 Day=24H
? Day= battery lifetime(H)/24H
Tips:
Above method only works for the fully-charged camera when the solar panel stops working.
It will be different if the solar panel is charging the camera.
